Drafting Model

Biketerra's drafting model is based on the mathematical fitting/calibration of wind tunnel and CFD simulation results from numerous publications.

The goal of our drafting model is accuracy, not gamification.

Details

If you are the lead rider of a group, you should see the pressure wave effect of up to about 5-6% benefit.
There is a small drafting penalty (up to about 3% max) when you are very close and directly beside another rider, due to turbulence.
The previous model tended to over-estimate the drafting benefits in larger groups, whereas the newest model fits published peloton configuration draft effects very accurately.
