Bots

Biketerra includes 2 different types of bots: pacers and roamers.

Pacer Bots

Pacer bots act as your own personal group. They'll stay near you, helping set the tempo and providing some extra drafting.

Within the in-ride menu, click the "Basic" tab.

You'll see a Bots - Pacers setting. To enable pacer bots, set the value to 1 or more.

You'll then see a Pacer Mode setting. Choose either Balanced (pacers will try to cluster around you) or Aggressive (pacers will try to stay ahead of you).

Roamer Bots

Roamer bots ride at their own pace, much like a gran fondo ride.

Within the in-ride menu, click the "Basic" tab.

You'll see a Bots - Roamers setting. The choices are None, Low, Medium, High, and Maximum. Bots do impact performance, keep that in mind if you're on a lower-end device (like an older tablet).

Behaviors

You'll notice that each roamer bot wears one of 5 different jersey colors. The jersey color corresponds to a behavior, or archetype:

  • Sprinter (Red)
    • Explosive on flat finishes, fades fast, weak uphill.
  • Climber (Teal)
    • Thrives on long grades, poor sprinter, patient and efficient.
  • Rouleur (Blue)
    • Balanced all-rounder, no major weakness.
  • Puncher (Gold)
    • Attacks on short hills and crests, tactically aggressive.
  • Domestique (Grey)
    • Most common; the workhorse that pulls the group.
