Windows notes
You'll likely see a Windows Defender SmartScreen warning when installing the app. If so, click "More info" → "Run anyway".
This nag screen appears because our app isn't code signed. Code signing is a complicated (and expensive) process that we'll implement if the Windows app gets more widely adopted.
Why native apps?
Because we wanted better bluetooth.
- Connecting is faster
- Devices stay connected throughout the session
- Devices can be saved (auto-connect)
- Chrome bluetooth is buggy
The native app is essentially a lightweight browser window with native bluetooth bolted-on, hence the tiny app size.
Will the browser version still work?
Yes! It'll still work, with the same features (and limitations) as before.
