FAQ
Biketerra is a web-based 3D cycling app. Ride existing routes, upload your own, do workouts and online group rides... all using your browser.
Does Biketerra have a free tier?
Yes, Free users are limited to 6 routes (and 1 route upload) and lower view distance, but can join any public online event.
Subscribers can access all routes, upload unlimited custom routes, create events, and can access higher view distance.
What happens when my subscription expires?
You'll be moved back to the free tier. Your uploaded routes won't get deleted, but only the latest one will be accessible.
What hardware do I need for Biketerra?
We strongly recommend using a smart trainer with controllable resistance. At the very least, you need a power meter.
There are several affordable smart trainers nowadays, such as the Jetblack Victory ($399) and the Wahoo KICKR CORE 2 ($549).
Biketerra uses your power and weight to calculate virtual speed; it doesn’t use speed sensors.
Which operating systems does Biketerra support?
Windows, Mac, Linux, iOS, and Android
Biketerra is browser-based, so you can use any browser that supports bluetooth... Chrome, Edge, Brave, etc.
If using Brave, enable the "Web Bluetooth API" feature in brave://flags.
If using iOS, you'll need to install the Biketerra Browser app (because Apple).
Does Biketerra support ANT+?
No, Biketerra is bluetooth-only.
Why does it lag?
In Chrome, browse to chrome://settings/system and make sure the "Use graphics acceleration when available" setting is enabled.
For Windows users, you may need to manually add Chrome (or Biketerra, if using the native app) as a High Performance app:
